Description
At H&M, our New Development function is dedicated to strengthening the brand, driving innovation and exploring new opportunities for growth. Within this function, the Commercial Advisor Licensing plays a key role in supporting and driving our licensing business in close alignment with our brand direction and commercial goals. You will work closely with the Partnerships Manager, Customer Groups and crossfunctional teams to develop, manage and grow longterm licensing partnerships.
This is a businessdriven role at the intersection of brand, strategy and execution – ideal for someone who combines strong commercial judgement with cultural and fashion awareness.
Requirements
Strategy & Commercial Insight
- Support the development and implementation of the licensing strategy across the company (H&M brand and Group brands), aligned with the overall brand direction.
- Work with Customer Group managers to understand business needs and identify licensing opportunities.
- Contribute to the planning and follow-up of licensing goals and key initiatives.
Partnership Development
- Assist in identifying, pitching, and onboarding new licensing partners.
- Support in managing ongoing partner relationships to ensure alignment with brand, commercial, and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and licensing partners to ensure smooth operations.
Internal Collaboration & Process
- Act as a key point of contact for internal teams regarding licensing processes, tools, and best practices.
- Help coordinate trainings and internal communications to ensure consistent ways of working with external partners.
- Support the evaluation of potential partners in collaboration with H&M Group IP Legal, Product Policy, and Customer Group Managers.
Commercial & Operational Support
- Contribute to contract preparation and support negotiations
- Monitor and follow up on partner performance, sales, and commercial terms.
- Support with financial tracking, compliance, labelling, and sustainability aspects related to licensing agreements.
