This is an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished licensing executive to lead one of the industry's most respected boutique licensing agencies while helping shape its next chapter.
We are seeking an entrepreneurial executive with leadership experience who has successfully managed a business, division, or licensing organization where strategic thinking, financial oversight, business development, and operational excellence were essential.
Working directly with ownership, the Executive Vice President & Chief Licensing Officer will oversee all aspects of the business while preparing to assume the role of President through a planned leadership transition.
The ideal candidate combines executive leadership, licensing expertise, business development skills, financial acumen, and the ability to inspire teams while maintaining strong client and industry relationships.
Requirements
Executive Leadership & Strategic Growth
- Lead the company's overall strategic direction while supporting a planned succession into the President role.
- Develop and execute long-term growth strategies that expand revenue, strengthen client relationships, and enhance the company's market position.
- Identify and pursue new licensing, consulting, and strategic partnership opportunities.
- Evaluate emerging markets, consumer trends, and licensing opportunities that support long-term business objectives.
- Work closely with ownership on strategic initiatives, organizational planning, and future business growth.
Licensing & Client Leadership
- Oversee all licensing and consulting operations across the organization.
- Serve as executive sponsor for major client relationships and strategic consulting engagements.
- Negotiate licensing, representation, consulting, and commercial agreements.
- Maintain exceptional client service while identifying opportunities to expand existing relationships.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and executive meetings.
Business Development
- Drive new client acquisition and revenue growth.
- Leverage industry relationships to identify and secure new licensing opportunities.
- Develop strategic partnerships that expand the company's service offerings and market presence.
- Build long-term relationships with licensors, licensees, manufacturers, retailers, agencies, and intellectual property owners.
Financial Leadership
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, profitability, cash flow, and financial performance.
- Evaluate business opportunities, investments, and strategic initiatives from both financial and operational perspectives.
- Establish growth objectives and monitor company performance against strategic goals.
- Partner with ownership on financial planning and long-term business strategy.
Organizational Leadership
- Lead and mentor an experienced team of licensing professionals.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and entrepreneurial culture.
- Strengthen operational systems, reporting, and internal processes.
- Develop future leaders while supporting continued organizational growth.
- Ensure alignment across licensing, consulting, finance, marketing, and administrative functions.
